CALI-SS and SSin City SS  would like to thank all the sponsors and participants for coming out and making WeSSt CoaSSt Gathering IV another successful and fun event for all.   Without the participants, sponsors and volunteers events like this would never happen.  Subsequently, the good times and memories we had at WCG 4 would never have happened. This years host hotel probably surprised many people.  The Silverton has a Bass Pro shop connected to it, features a giant fish tank, gambling and restaraunts.  To boot it was down the street from local shopping.

This event featured a fund raiser for our very own Joanne Garcia.  She appears to be doing well and on the road to better days.  Our two clubs pulled together to take care of Joanne and Jason's hotel accommodations for the event.  The 50/50 raffle, silent auction proceeds and direct donations totalled to just under $1000.00.  We just rounded up and were able to present Joanne with a check for $1000.00 representing the love and continued support for her from the B-Body community and WCG 4 sponsors.

The Friday CruiSSe Night kicked WCG 4 off with a bang as Thump ran into some pest control truck and blamed it on the poor driver when leaving the host hotel.   The CruiSSe Night was sponsored by Fairway Chevrolet and they provided the hot dogs and drinks.  An added treat was the viewing of their impressive car collection. Good music by Stephanie from Smokin' Hot DJ's (probably one of the best looking DJ's I have ever had the pleasure of paying) set the atmosphere for a relaxing evening.  As cars rolled in people anticipated the arrival of friends they haven't seen in awhile and the beautiful B-Bodies that always catch our eyes. It was a fun filled evening with no incidents on record, right Doug?

Saturday's SShow and SShine delivered good weather.  The sun was out and we soaked up the low 90's heat with a slight breeze.  The beauty of the B-Bodies slowly rolling across the grass and people shining their cars is always a good site to see. The show stopper of the day, however, was the CALI-SS boys dawning their custom made CALI-SS embroidered aprons and filling the chef roles for the day.  They handled the food preparation with ease. Even the food inspector that came by to see how a traditional Tijuana taco stand is run gave them a passing grade!  Gary from Innovative Wiring surprised us by donating more items for the silent auction.  (Above his sponsorship of the WCG 4 shirts).  We can't thank him enough for coming all the way down to the show and supporting us.

SSunday brought us the traditional breakfast at El Patron restaraunt and the highly anticipated awards ceremony.  As usual, good food and fun times.  There were some surprises when we tallied up the votes. Dave Rassbot even won an award.  He will probably display it on the floor in his garage next to his 383 motor he won at WCG 1.  We want to see that motor in your car by WCG 5 Dave!  Congratulations to all the winners. Your (Jim's) hard work has been recognized.   Sadly, the show came to a close and again everyone had a good time and some even won money at the casino's.  Most importantly friendships grew stronger and memories were made.  Long live the B-Body community!
